1. Pierrecast the 13th. Well, this is a little late, being a spooky Halloween mix, but Friday the 13th is this week! One Pierre, who blogs on Tumblr at Pierreism, put together a great "atmospheric, instrumental, Italo-horror soundtrack by way of Carpenter & Goblin."
2. A Fall Playlist by Rachel Syme, culture editor at the Daily Beast, who also tumbls at Rachel Profiling. The selections on this playlist can be classified as yellow-leafèd.
3. T.G.I. Mixtape Vol. 39 by Baeble Music features some indietastic tracks from recent and upcoming releases of bands like Yeasayer, that fellow from the Strokes, Woodpigeon, Land of Talk and more.
4. Ellen Allien's Beatport Playlist features some intriguing works off her label Bpitch Control, including Fuckpony, whom I just mp3'd up in this blog, and personal favorites of the DJ, solo artist, collaborator and all-around Renaissance woman of house.
5. Not Your Usual Bollocks #62 actually came out in October, but it's one of my favorite podcasts, and this lineup is solid, including some Horrors, Antlers, Zee Avi, Dinosaur Jr. and more.
